TexShare
Card
The
purpose of TexShare is to support and encourage resource sharing
among Texas academic and public libraries. TexShare was
initially limited to state university libraries, but was
expanded by the 75th Legislature to include community colleges
and selected independent colleges and universities. In August
2000 the public libraries in the state were invited to join the
program.
The
Tex-Share library card program enables Weatherford College
faculty, students, and staff to use the libraries of other
participating institutions. To apply for a TexShare card, if on
campus please contact the Circulation Desk in the Library. If
you are a remote user/distance education student or a student at
the Mineral Wells or Decatur Centers send an e-mail request to Ask a Librarian. Be sure to include your name, your
student ID number, and your address in the request. Application
forms are also made available to your Instructor.
After
verification the TexShare card will be mailed to Distance
Education, Mineral Wells and Decatur Center users.
Contact
each TexShare library to get complete information on:
- The
library's hours.
- How
to get to that library.
- What
privileges and responsibilities you will have at that
library.
A list
of TexShare libraries and policies
and contact information for individual TexShare libraries is
available.
